Edgar Allan Poe and William Faulkner
This essay is for comparing and contrasting the two novels : A rose for Emily and The fall of the house of Usher. For this we are going for a research off details of both of the novels and explain them for this essay. Also we are going to see the different styles of writing of these two writers that are Edgar Allan Poe and William Faulkner.
These two novels are kind of sad and the environment is dark , hopeless and all dying. In the novel, the fall of the house of usher all is sad, dark and Gothic. As the same in the novel a rose for Emily there is sadness and darkness. In both novels somebody dies, in the fall of the house of usher, the twin brother dies by making him a heart attack because she scared him, because she supposed to be dead, but she was alive and when she returned to the house, when he saw her that was the fact that caused the heart attack.In arose for Emily, Emily bought arsenic and killed Homer Baron because she wants that a man love hr forever, then with the time she dies too. we saw here that the two authors like to write about dark and sad stories. But also they have different things, Edgar Allan Poe is more descriptive that William Faulkner. We can see it because in in the fall of the house of usher, he describe so good the house and it characteristics, it was so detailed that anybody can imagine it but in a rose for Emily there is not so detailed.
In conclusion these two writers are a good ones, and these two novels are wonderful. We saw the differences and similarities of these two writers, there form of writing and their specialty of writing the novels with such passion.
